Build a Strong Downline Team with 5 Simple Tips
Your direct sales downline: You’ve got a one or are beginning to build one! This is one of the best parts of being a direct sales consultant, - the fact that you can share your passion for your business with others, help them to earn a little extra money and get paid for helping grow your company as well.
If you are a team leader, you’ll find that you must build firm alliances with team members. Not doing so would only rish losing them all together. You need to build up a solid relationship that will benefit you both.
It’s not hard and it shouldn’t take up the bulk of your time. After all, you’ll still have your business to worry about. To ensure a good mlm team, here are 5 easy tips:
1. Don’t wait to get going! New recruits need lots of communication and support. Even if she doesn’t even have her kit yet, be there to answer questions and provide training materials.
Don’t wait to communicate once she gets her kit. Start the training and mentoring the minute she signs up. You can do this easily via email or texting. Don’t make it a monumental task; just be sure to touch base frequently.
2. Take 10 (or 15): Do like the Queen Bee herself Mar Kay did and call your individual team members on their birthdays or other important days. Keep a rolodex of their personal info so you can have a good call and let them know you care about them (beyond just the fact that they can make you some money).
3. Set up a team website. It’s a good, easy interface to your group that can help you post important info, give training advice, even post training videos and audio.
4. Meetings are essential, but you can set up tele-seminars and host phone call meeting or online meetings. Whatever method you choose, just do it! Your group will falter faster if they don’t feel supported and meetings are the best way to keep them together and involved.
5. Emails and ecards are great ways to connect. Set up a calendar of dates of your team birthdays, etc. and send them out accordingly. It lets your team know they are important to you and strengthen your bond of working together for mutual benefit.
The bottom line to getting a strong downline team is to communicate in every way that you can. You will find that your direct sales team members will stay with your company much longer when you’ve fostered a strong relationship by keeping in touch! Much success!
